5G NR operates in two frequency ranges - FR1 (sub-6 GHz) and FR2 (above 24 GHz). The 5G (fifth generation) mobile networks use the new radio access technology (RAT) developed by 3GPP, dubbed 5G NR and deemed as the global standard for the air interface of 5G networks.
